Yak Thai Green Thai Curry Paste – Simply delicious and full of flavor!
Our green curry paste is an exceptional blend of fresh green chilies, coriander root, lemongrass, garlic, onions, galangal, and a variety of exotic spices. It not only adds a spicy and tangy flavor to dishes, but also impresses with a wonderful sweetness and a pleasant acidity.
If you want a real Thai taste , try Yak Thai. We use shrimp paste, fish sauce, and oyster sauce where traditionally necessary.
We produce all our curry pastes fresh, as is common in Thai markets. This means we don't "dilute" them. The pastes are all very rich, so we recommend increasing the dosage slowly.

What makes Thai Green Curry, or “Kaeng Khiao Wan,” so special?
- The color : Green curry's name derives from its distinctive green color, achieved through the use of green chilies and fresh coriander roots. These ingredients not only give the curry its vibrant color but also its distinctive flavor.
- The Paste : The base of green curry is a special curry paste made from green chilies, garlic, shallots, galangal root, lemongrass, coriander root, and kaffir lime peel, among other ingredients. This paste is the heart of the dish and brings a complex depth and freshness to the curry.
- Ingredients : Traditionally, green curry is prepared with coconut milk, vegetables like eggplant and bamboo shoots, and proteins like chicken, beef, or tofu. Combining these ingredients with the intense green curry paste creates a rich, creamy, and spicy dish.
- The Balance of Flavors : Another unique feature of green curry is the perfect balance between its flavors—spicy, sweet, salty, and slightly sour all at once. This balance is achieved by the combination of hot chilies, sweet coconut milk, salty fish sauce, and tangy lime juice.
- The herbs and spices : Fresh herbs such as Thai basil, coriander and kaffir lime leaves are often added at the end of cooking to give the curry an extra aromatic kick.
Why Yak Thai Green Curry Paste?
- Authentic Thai : We make all our pastes ourselves, using authentic Thai recipes. Chonticha's name stands for this.

- Environment: No weeks of transport in sea containers - we manufacture regionally
- Fresh ingredients : We use fresh ingredients, including local ones whenever possible. Our products contain no preservatives or other additives.
- Shrimp paste and fish sauce: As is common in Thailand, we occasionally use fish sauce and/or shrimp paste in our products. We want to offer you the authentic taste of Thailand. We are vegan where this is also the case in Thailand.
How should our products be dosed?
- Since our pastes are very rich and not diluted, we recommend starting slowly. It's best to start with a teaspoon and work your way up.
